A domain is a unique name that appears after the @sign in email addresses, and after www. in web addresses. A domain name is what people type into a browser to find a website – similar to how you use a street address to find a building. It typically takes the form of your business name and a standard Internet suffix, such as yourbusiness.com, yourbusiness.edu and other extensions.

We unfortunately do not provide private network DNS as we are a cloud solution provider only.

In accordance with Australian Domain Name Policy, to be eligible to register .com.au and .net.au domain names, registrants must be one of the following:

• An Australian registered company
• Trading under a registered business name in any Australian State or Territory
• An Australian partnership or sole trader
• An association incorporated in any Australian State or Territory
• An Australian commercial statutory body
• A foreign company licensed to trade in Australia
• Be an owner of an Australian Registered Trade Mark
• An applicant for an Australian Registered Trade Mark

When searching for a good domain name, keep these 4 things in mind:

1. Reflect your brand. Ideally, your domain name should be your business name, since that’s how customers will think of you.
2. Keep it short. Shorter domain names are easier for customers to remember.
3. Avoid numbers or hyphens. Customers might not remember to include hyphens, and if they hear your web address with a number, they won’t know if you’re using the numeral 5 or “five” spelled out. If your business name has a number in it, register both versions – with the number and with the number spelled out.
4. Register more than one domain. Keep your name safe by registering both common misspellings, as well as various domain extensions, such as .org, .net, .info, etc.
